HELLO MARCH!

kate bosworth in blue crush/ sunset magazine/elle decor/tiny fete

I feel like my I didn't live up to my February goal potential, so I'm really going to try and kick things up a notch for March (print your goal calendar March page here). With a sick baby for the last week and a half, things have been pretty quiet around here. I actually broke down and took her to the doctor yesterday. Not fun. I hate seeing my little lady feeling bad.

So, March, I'm bringin' it. 1. My biggest fitness inspiration comes from surfers. They have the most killer bodies. Kate Bosworth in Blue Crush made me want to wake up at the crack of dawn to do pull-ups (of which I can do zero). I did Power 90 today (holy shaky legs). I haven't made all of my fitness promises this week, but that was a darn good start. Side note: I am obsessed with My Fitness Pal's scancode for food. So easy!

2. I really miss gardening and my garden looks awful and neglected. Thankfully I have a lot of great foundation plants, I just need to clean it up and find some pretty annuals. So many things are starting to bloom! Makes me incredibly happy!

3. One of my biggest goals is to continue to grow Tiny Fete. Matilda and I are going to have a little fashion shoot tomorrow (if she feels like it) for a fun post on Monday. I really want to be able to help out while I'm at home and I'd love to contribute to our vacation fund. We really need it! I would love to hear some of your goals for March. My friend Claire is also posting hers. Check it.

  1. I love it! So fun to read other people's goals. It's inspiring! Curious about Power 90 now . . . gonna check out the link. I have been good about exercise, I just have to get back on the diet train. Tonight, for instance, I had macaroni & cheese and green beans with Milo and Jude (they also ate a grilled turkey and cheese sandwich). It's hard being on a diet (and/or counting calories, etc.) . . . I eat healthily a lot cause I really love veggies, but I also want to eat burritos and pizza and pasta when I want it!

    1. we all want to eat those things, but if you cut back on them you'll have an easier time running and more energy. so proud of all of your running efforts. i'm gonna get on that. xoxo

  2. Lesely-I know you said you do Jillian's 30 Day Shred sometimes. How exactly do you calculate that on MFP? Do you break it down into 10 minutes cardio/10 minutes of strength training? I did it this morning (yeehaw!) but didn't have the hand weights here at the house. Would love to know how you calculate that.
Also-oh. my. gosh! I just was playing around on MFP and calculated in some cheddar cheese. It's a snack I give my kids often and of course i eat some too. I've always known cheese was not the best for you but I just decided to type it in. For some reason seeing that several cubic inches added up to 585 calories! agh! It just made it sink in. I think my love affair with cheese is what is contributing to my weight gain and bloated feeling! Any thoughts on this?
Thanks again for the inspiration! Love checking in on your blog!

    1. hi! you could definitely plug it in that way, but the strength training is also aerobic , so i may plug in "intense aerobic" 30 minutes. are we friends? i thought that i saw that we were.:) as far as cheese goes... dairy in general is hard for most people to digest, leaving you feeling bloated! i think in moderation it's ok, but stick to goat cheese, raw cheese, greek yogurt (unflavored), etc. also, don't worry so much about calories, but that you're getting good fats and eating lots of veggies, lean meats, berries, and a little dairy and grains. have a great weekend!!
