21 WEEKS/ MATERNITY STYLE

mossimo dress lent to me by my friend

This isn't exactly a style post, just a little update. We spent the weekend at the lake where this picture was taken. I'm 21.5 weeks along and so happy to be feeling good. My rings still fit! After a week of total debauchery in the eating department, I'm going to be focusing on eating well and walking this week. Sam and I are starting this emeals subscription that you can customize for your diet needs. It's basically a weekly menu with grocery list to simplify life. I find the less I have to think about dinner, the better! For this week's Healthy Pregnancy, I'm going to be doing a post on cravings and how to manage them. I'm writing it as much for me as for you. Trust. My cravings lately have been cereal and Pellegrino's blood orange sparkling water. SO good and both of which I don't normally buy.

I want to hear your cravings... for research purposes. Also, you don't have to be pregnant to have cravings, so bring 'em on!

  2. I've never drunk sparkling water in my life... Now that I'm pregnant, I feel like I have to have it all of the time. And, it's not cheap!

  3. Cravings...So far my cravings have been milk and cheese. Very strange for me. I typically don't like milk, I've always liked cheese, but not milk. Of course the first week I was pregnant (before I knew it) all I wanted was milk.

Thanks so much for choosing me!

  5. Pellegrino's blood orange sparkling water sounds like it's perfectly healthy, right? I love sparkling water. I want one of those soda streams. Cari and JJ have one and I use it WAY more than they do. ha.

I am on day 5 of a healthy eating calorie counting diet, so my cravings are for all the things I can't have. My most common craving is always pizza. And last night I DREAMED about cake/cupcakes, so that tells you plenty. Sometimes I crave those big taco salads that come in the shells at Mexican restaurants. And on occasion, I crave warm melty brownies!

  8. You look so lovely! All glowing and natural and so beautiful.

Lately I've been craving a plate full of warm french bread, brie and grapes. Unfortunately, I've removed all three from my diet. Ha! I'll settle for a grilled cheese on GF bread and raw cheddar.

  9. when i was pregnant i ate for 5. i craved pizza non-stop (so much that when i said i wanted pizza for dinner one night, my pizza-loving husband said "can we please just have something else tonight"). from there it was basically anything tomato-based. i worked at target and i ate a lot of the pizza hut breadsticks/sauce on my breaks. i also ate a lot of pasta. my lowest point was probably one day when i was home alone and for lunch i dumped a can of petite diced tomatoes in a bowl and ate them. that should scare anyone away from having cravings. i am pretty much terrified of being pregnant again.

  11. A little late, but I'm currently going through my first pregnancy (19 weeks!) and all I've wanted lately is KIMCHI! So weird, it's usually a twice-a-year type of craving otherwise. Anything spicy usually hits the spot, so I've been eating tons of spicy curries and anything packed with chilies or covered in hot sauce.
