We are painting Matilda's room today. My mom is coming over to help me and we are going to transform the land of clutter Matilda's room into a peaceful Scandanavian retreat for her and baby. I am keeping all of my resources and credits right over here if you want to follow along. We did some major Craigslist wheelin' and dealing over the weekend to make some extra room. I'm excited! Have you used either this bed or crib? Do you like it? We picked these up at IKEA over the weekend. Poor Sam was sweating his youknowwhat off trying to get it all in our packed car. Serious heatwave.

Also, I did some research on the best white paint and I kept finding Linen White over and over again. I love Benjamin Moore paint so I went with this one. Have you used it? My mom used to repaint our house every other week and confirmed that it was a great white. Stay tuned!

and the winner of the Seraphine giveaway is Alli: "This is my first ever pregnancy and I've been scared to jump into maternity clothes...but the popper breastfeeding tee in blue looks to be amazing!". Congrats! Please email me with your email address so I can pass it on to the wonderful people at Seraphine.

Thank you to everyone for your amazingly sweet comments throughout my pregnancy. All of your shared excitement has been such a blessing in our lives. It makes me feel really thankful.

  1. LOVE IT!!! The wire bed is on my list for Rowan as well. A fresh coat of paint makes everything seem so exciting. Good luck!!!

  2. Cant' wait to see the room! My younger sister and I shared a room (until we went to college). Good times and lots of fun for us growing up.

  3. Congrats to Alli. :) And I'm excited to see how the room shapes up--I'll get to see it for myself in August!!!

  4. we actually had that ikea crib originally, but never took it out of the box. the house we moved into when i was pregnant had a gigantic room for ian and the crib was so tiny in there. we returned it and bought a brand new crib on craig's list for almost the same price. of course, now we live in another house with a much smaller room for ian- so when we have another one, that crib would probably be ideal.

we did a lot of craig's listing too- we got really nice stuff & there's no shame in buying used as long as it's good & safe- babies aren't cheap!
