That's actually the name of this smoothie that I've adapted. I realized that the last few recipes I've shared have been cheesy, eggy, and creamy. Ain't no shame but I thought a healthy dose of fruits and vegetables was in order. I've been a long time fan of this green smoothie, but that doesn't mean that I don't like mixing things up. This recipe has lots of citrus (a must for me right now) and tons of vitamins. Drink up buttercup!

It's Not Easy Being Green Smoothie
adapted slightly from the Vitamix cookbook

You will need:

  • 1/2 cup of green grapes
  • 1/2 a medium orange + zest
  • 1/4 cup fresh pineapple
  • 1/2 a frozen banana
  • 1/2 a carrot
  • 1 cup of spinach
  • 1/2 a medium apple
  • 1" slice of lime + zest
  • 3 cups of ice


    Place ingredients in a high powered blender in order listed. Blend well + enjoy.
