Over the weekend we celebrated a first birthday at an adorable picnic-themed party, had an adult dinner out to celebrate a 30th birthday, made crock pot potpourri (recipe coming tomorrow!), and I had a date with myself. I've been experimenting with my camera as much as I can. I went to the square and strolled around and ate some delicious pumpkin ice cream (I can't say no to anything pumpkin - we made this FOUR times last week). Matilda has been nursing a cold for days now. The start of preschool has brought home quite a few stuffy noses already, but I'm thankful it's strengthening her little immune system. Hope you all had a great weekend. I seriously cannot believe it's October. This is one of my favorite months of the year!

ps welcome back revenge!!!

  1. Whoa, how many memories does Sarah Jean's ice cream bring back?? LOL.

That picnic basket thing is FREAKING ADORABLE!!!! Do you really own that? Unreal!

I'm sick too. :( I've had a bad cold twice in the past two weeks! UGH

    1. ha! yes, this was a slightly different experience. the picnic basket is amazing, but not mine. my friend christy used it for her daughter's birthday party.

      hope you feel better!!

  2. I love pumpkin anything. I made a pumpkin roll last night!

  3. Your photos look great and I have a hard time resisting pumpkin too with the exception of pumpkin pie. I can't wait to see your crockpot potpourri recipe. It's one of my favorite things to do in the fall. If you're ever at the square, the play train used to have a number 3 painted on the side. (I think it still does) I got Luke's pictures with it when he turned 3 and it was really cute!

  4. LOVE the picture of you next to the thress - so pretty!

The whole color theme of your photo montage is awesome :)
