PAINTED FRONT DOOR

Our drywall is going up this week and although we are no where near paint, I'm sort of daydreaming about the front door. It's all about the details for me. I had originally thought about going with a stained door but the more I pondered that idea the more I liked the idea of doing a pop of color... or black... or white. Help me! I would love your input. Here are some amazing front doors - from persimmon to mint - I like em all.

What color would you choose?

  1. Our door is painted a bright mustard yellow - it's called wheat grass by sherwin williams. I love it!!! We have a brick house with black accents.

  3. We're getting ready to paint our house and I can't wait to paint our front door! It'll definitely give our house some personality. I'm going with either a bright red or TARDIS blue, I'm leaning more toward TARDIS blue.

  4. It totally depends on the house! I mixed up the perfect muddy green for my Atlanta house to match my green roof. I love a colorful door! Red is always a fun choice :)

  5. Our house is a light charcoal painted brick. We are cheap-y Lowe's whores, so we use Valspar. Our first door was Roasted Squash. After it got kicked in(!), I re-did it in Paradise Blue... Silver-lining, I love the blue door more than the orange one! :)

  9. I like the yellow and the black doors above. However, I think it totally depends on the look of one's house. My house looks like a mountain cabin and the roof and door are green. Martha's house is white with black shutters and has a red door.

  10. Mint or yellow! I'm painting my door "New Avocado" by Valspar, but that mint is making me rethink my color choice! :)

  13. Persimmon - 1. because its a southern fruit 2. because it has a pretty name 3. because it will pop so well and then you can direct guest by saying, "we're the house with the persimmon door".

  14. Any of these! Our new door will be black and I'll take it! I'll take it! But I think you should do something fun, the persimmon is probably my first choice:) Do a color in honor of those who can't;)

  17. Ooooh! That 3rd door is so sexy! Its sophistication and simplicity is what makes it so appealing and sexy. If you’ve noticed, it's just a plain door with those oddly beautiful door knobs. How I wish those doors can work in different houses, but I think it'll fit well with modern houses just as nicely.
