I have been waiting for this day! We are getting the house painted this week and that is HUGE. Right now the walls are all different colors and mixed with new sheetrock. Such a mess. I can't wait to see the trim painted in a semi-gloss. Hip hip hooray! I think I've narrowed down all of my colors. We are going for a very Scandinavian farmhouse feel but I like a little color so we're throwing in some seafoam green in the mix too. I'm doing pops of black on the window sashes, doors, and architectural details. The inside will be all WHITE, something I've wanted to do forever. I think we're going with "pearly white" by Sherwin Williams. The exterior and interior colors were found in Southern Living. I also love that our house color is french for "palace." :)

Picking paint colors can be so tricky. Do you have a white or mint green paint color that you love?

  1. It's going to be so pretty! Can't wait to see the finished product!

  2. Love! Lesley, did you ever pick a winner for the blanket give away? Just checking! Your house is going to look amazing.

    1. thanks, lady! i did. :( hope you win next time!

    2. Oh okay! Sorry - I missed that! Me too! :) I may get one for myself.

  3. I had an awesome landlord in Inman Park, who painted one of the apartments I lived in all white. He called it the "White house" every room was a different shade - although I could never tell. It was stunning especially with all the light it had.

I can't wait to see this farm house finished!

  4. We are currently in the process of painting/laying floor/renovating the bathroom - so I'm equally excited for you. I know what a sigh of relief it is.... There is just something about adding the paint that makes the whole renovation process look like it's getting done. I can't wait to see the finished look - farm house? My dream!

ps. Love the seafoam green too! Our entire house is neutral except the dining room (and island cabinets), I'm incorporating Sherwin Williams Embellished Blue (very similar to your seafoam green) and I can't get enough. It's the perfect splash of color.
