Two Week Challenge

We just back from a weekend at the lake with friends. It is so great to get away, isn't it?! I spent a lot of time over spring break thinking about our family and my personal well being. I set up some goals for myself and I'm excited to share them with you guys. Thanks for letting me take a little break last week. Sometimes I need that creative recharge. If you follow me on instagram, I shared one of my favorite green smoothie recipes and I also mentioned that I'll be starting a two week challenge tomorrow (#lwgchallenge). Please, please if you want to play along tag me with that hashtag so that I can encourage you. I really want to foster community for anyone wanting to jump start their health, lose weight, get more fit, etc.

LWG Two Week Challenge

- Eat whole foods: nothing processed, no grains, no sugar. We are using these cookbooks for inspiration (1/2)
- Exercise: be active 30 min a day. I just bought a FitBit Flex and I highly recommend it. I love getting challenges through prompts (accountability!) and my personal goal is to take 10,000 steps + be active 30 min a day. I've been using it for three days and already I can see my activity level going way up. I love that it is waterproof and syncs with my phone so I can always check in on my water, steps, calorie intake, etc. It also syncs with My Fitness Pal (I'm lesleywgraham if you want to follow me). Matilda helps me get my count up. I put my phone with the app up on the iphone dock and she runs with me. It's such a fun game!
- Cut out alcohol.
- Drink 64+ oz of water a day.
- Yoga three times a week. Anyone have any great youtube recommendations?

That's it! From here I'll be making more goals, but this is where I am for the first two weeks. We have an amazing menu planned and it feels great to have Sam on board too. He has been such an inspiration to me for the last few months. If you want some more great motivation check out my daily inspiration account: @lwgchallenge as well as @sometimessweaty, @eating_whole, and @blogilates. I love following them because it kicks my butt in gear and they all have incredible recipes, tips, etc. Bathing suit season is right around the corner. It's amazing what can be accomplished in as little as two months. Let's do this!

Let's chat, share tips, recipes, etc. Tag instagram pics with #lwgchallenge

  5. Lesley, I thought about you yesterday. I walk/jogged almost 2 miles during my lunch break and made black bean/sweet potato enchiladas for dinner. I felt so good! Now I just need to keep it in my routine. Good luck with yours too!!

  6. There are yoga classes in hulu. Different types and styles. I use it often. Good luck. I'd love to try a whole foods challenge and get back to yoga (which I did at least three times a week pre-third baby, who is now 21 months -yikes!)
