Five Cookbooks for Fall

With new seasons, I want to crack open new cook books. I have a total cookbook fetish. I don’t often cook from them but I find them to be such inspiration and eye candy! Makes me so happy to pour over a new cook book, coffee or wine in hand! Here are some books just for the season… dreaming already of apples baked in pies, sweet potatoes roasted to perfection, and of course… pumpkin everything!

On my list:

  • Honey and Jam - I’m a longtime fan girl of Hannah’s and I can’t believe I am just now grabbing my own copy! Rustic and seasonal - just lovely.

  • Platters and Boards - if it were up to me I would just eat off of platters for every meal. My favorite kinds of foods with the most beautiful presentation! I dream about being someone that throws together cheese boards for impromptu cocktail hours! I love the design of this one!

  • Purely Pumpkin - the essence of fall! We are obsessed with making our pumpkin bread but I’d love to get a few more pumpkin recipes in rotation!

  • French Country Cooking - my sweet sister gave me this beautiful book for Christmas and it makes me want to pretend that I live in a beautiful chateau wear I wear a linen apron covered in flour from the crusty french bread I just baked.

  • Feeding a Family - my friend Rachel recommended this book to me - it’s so pretty - think airy “vintage looking” photos and gorgeous tables. Her tips for meal planning are so helpful!

    PLUS:

  • Magnolia Table - I held out on this one because I’m just wired to do that when everyone’s talking about something (ha!) BUT the recipes are so home spun and beautiful and I’m excited to whip up a gluten-free version of her after school banana bread!
