Countdown to One Piece

After a really unsuccessful weekend of eating well (read: fries, chocolate, cookies, etc) I've decided to start a fitness regime (ugh) and healthy eating plan of attack. My will alone is failing me, miserably. I've talked about my struggles with losing the baby weight here and here but now it's not so much baby weight, it's french fry and laziness weight... mmkay. Also, if one more person reminds me of how skinny I was before I got pregnant with Phoebe, there will be tears. It's just been a struggle for me to get that mindset again to want to eat whole foods all the time. I have made one bajillion excuses. I'm going to be doing weekly updates here as well as a hashtag (#cd21piece) on instagram. Please play along with me, I need to have some accountability. Also, I'm a little forgetful about it, but I'm on My Fitness Pal (lesleywgraham) if you're curious about what I'm eating and doing for exercise. June is my deadline for meeting my goal of pre-baby weight: 128.

Here's how I've lost weight in the past:

- Two weeks no carbs, only lean meats and veggies. This reboots your system and turns your body into fat burning mode. Lots of water and grass fed meats and organic produce are key. No booze or sugar.
- Add in one cheat meal on the third week. This is crucial for me to succeed. You have one hour to eat as much junk as ya want. Add in 5 g of carbs (handful of fruit).
- Each following week you can add in another 5 g of carbs (good carbs like fruit, starches (sweet potato), quinoa, etc. Grains aren't a big part of my diet).

That's it! I lost 30 lbs doing this. For exercise I walked and did yoga.

A huge motivator for me was seeing how incredible Amy Adams looked in American Hustle. Have you seen it? Wowzers. Also, what motivates you to exercise? Seriously.
