Social Media Free Weekends

 

a couple of weeks ago i started taking weekends off from social media and here’s what i noticed:

- how addicted i truly am
- my fingers unconsciously reach for my phone in boredom and anxiety
- that i don’t know what to do in my downtime

then...

- i slowly start to unwind
- i am more present
- i soak up my family
- i notice more sounds and moments and loveliness all around me
- i go outside more
- i think thoughts i would normally push down and i sort through them
- i reach out to more friends
- i use my phone to be inspired
- i feel more creative
- i have more good things to share
- i feel recharged
