This weekend we took a spontaneous (and slightly early in the season - I know!) trip to Burt’s Pumpkin Farm! We lucked out because not only was it September (way less crowded than October) but it was also drizzly and dreamy which made for wide open pumpkin pickin’! We live about an hour away from this beloved farm but haven’t been in YEARS. Pretty sure a toddler meltdown did me in last time so it has clearly been a minute. Proof mamas that one day you will do fun fall things without tears. Ha!

Things I love about Burt’s:

  • You get a wheel barrel to cart your pumpkins in. They even have a funny sign that says wheel barrel drivers must be 15+. Also wheel barrel, wheel barrow? Why does that sound weird?

  • They have soooo many pumpkins: classic, sugar, cinderella, porcelain doll, warty, white, green, peach, striped, you name it!

  • They have the cutest country gift shop with homemade jam, pumpkin bread, corn stalks, decorations, etc.

  • You can pay for a 20 minute hay ride that was 100% worth it, the cutest. Made a fun little video HERE.

  • There are cute photo areas and funnel cakes and deep fried pumpkin something which I won’t lie I am currently regretting not getting.

oh yeah, Matilda got braces!! Not only is missing middle school something we will never cry about but it’s also a year of braces she can knock out without being in school. I’ve told her repeatedly that she is indeed #winning.

I’m just grateful for everything that feels less apocalypse and more hallmark channel. Can I get an amen mamas?

Team pumpkin patch? Where do you get yours? Last couple of years it has been Publix for me with no regrets. Work with whatever season you are in! XX
