Back to Reno - Demo Day!

If you have been following along on our journey at the farm you may have heard me share that we were considering building and a tear down after weighing out our options. We bought a plan, worked with an architect, and I just did not have a peace about it (Sam didn’t either so I was so relieved that we were on the same page). After talking to my friend Holly (she has impeccable taste!), I got so excited again about transforming the stone house into a home for our family. Over the weekend my Dad came up with a small crew and we finalllly got started.

We have a beautiful design for the kitchen but I am stuck very much on the cabinet color. I have switched gears completely from the original green and while I love this green tile we uncovered I don’t love it enough to base the design around it. I’m actually very much obsessed with my idea for the floor that Sam is going to help me with but cabinet colors… ack. So hard. Leaning towards neutral and timeless with a pop of color in the dining area and creamy vertical shiplap behind the cabinets with some sort of beautiful marble on a furniture piece for the island. The timeline is 18 weeks out for the kitchen (December!).

Here’s a peek at the scrubbed out bathroom. Picturing tile going around that arch and down the wall, a great soaking tub, brass or shiny chrome fixtures, wallpaper meets beadboard, contrasting greens, classic black and white penny tile. Cannot wait.
