OUR DAY IN PHOTOS

I was inspired by my friend Kathleen to try and capture our day in photos. Of course the day that I chose to document wasn't the best, but it's real and it's ours and I'm grateful for each one. I ended up calling the nurse first thing and had to bring Bee down in the rain and fog after dropping Til off at school. We waited for an hour and a half. I had to give her a breathing treatment because she has Bronchilitus (?). It was sad. She screamed so hard. I hated every second. Then they told me it didn't help and there was really nothing that they could do. Expect a few hard days they said.

I was late coming to pick Matilda up (only 5 minutes) but everyone had cleared and Matilda said, "I was looking for you both ways." "I love you so much." I could have cried right then and there. The phone was ringing... "Where do you want the sink holes?" Overload. Short circuit.

We came home and had lunch. Made a few business calls. I had an egg with salad. Matilda had cheese and fruit and a granola bar. I let her pick lunch today. Then I put both girls down for bed. I made some coffee. I thought about addressing our beautiful birth announcements that just arrived. I didn't. I worked through their nap. Said hello to my sister.

Then they both woke up. Matilda is obsessed with wearing footie pajamas. I think it's because she sees them on Phoebe. She doesn't like the penguins as much as the frog ones. She also doesn't like to wear her panties with them because it gives her a "wedgie." She always has these princesses in her hands. She sleeps with them. I made Til dinner and we played with her sticker book. Sam swooped in and put Matilda down for bed and made dinner while I took care of Bee. We ate tacos with my Dad and he bopped Phoebe to sleep. It's the first time she's gone to bed without me being with her. Gave me a chance to reflect, to write this.
