We Bought a Farm!

On the day before Thanksgiving as I was stalking zillow for the 34385749835739475 time I saw this interesting listing. I almost passed over it but I saw that it was 35 acres so I swiped up (the new swipe right;)) and saw that it was actually a wedding venue with several buildings (two houses, a barn, a party barn, a chapel, garages to be exact!). I sent it to Sam and he was all in which honestly surprised me, so we called our amazing agent and she got us a showing, we were under contract on Thanksgiving day (so sweet to me - the timing).

Getting to closing was a little bit crazy, we had to wait a while because they had two December weddings and then the loan fell through at the last minute, by nothing short of a miracle we were able to close the next week right before the inauguration and the stress of all of that. Phew. The day we closed we had no idea we were closing, Sam ran and got a u-haul, and we were setting up beds that night.

Our dear friends were out that weekend in their Airstream. The best!! We can’t wait to make so many memories with our people here. Our goal is to turn the houses into rentals and to create a refuge for people where they can come and unplug, fish, be out in nature, and more!
