Work in Progress: Music Room

What was originally going to be a sleeping porch for guests or lounging, we decided, given our small space, that we needed a space that would be used more frequently by our family.

Sam played in an 80’s cover band for over a decade when we were first married and the girls were little. He can play almost any instrument! Matilda began guitar lessons this year and is chorus this year - she’s got the gift.

Hence, the music room! We wanted a space where they could practice and create and have all of the instruments in one place. The piano was in the church on the property and we hired some extra hands to bring it to the house. Along with the piano, is a needle pointed bench, that Sam’s mom made. It’s one of our prized belongings.

More to come, but we're so pleased with how it’s feeling so far.
