Holiday Mantle

As the heart of the home starts to glow with festive warmth, there's no better place to begin your holiday decorating than the mantel. Whether you’re hosting gatherings or cozying up with a cup of tea, the mantel becomes a focal point of seasonal cheer and this year, I partnered with Terrain to bring a fresh yet timeless touch to our home.

a Natural Base

To create a look that’s both elegant and inviting, begin with layers of natural greenery. We used Terrain’s Pre-Lit Faux Cedar Garland, draping it loosely across the mantel for a an elegant effect. Don’t be afraid to let it spill over the edges for a touch of effortless charm.

Add Dimension

Color is key for that magical holiday feel in our house. I layered the Good Cheer Bauble Ornament Tinsel Garland on top of the greenery and I am obsessed!! At almost 15 ft, it adds so much interest and I was able to drape over the mirror for another pop.

Add Height

To balance the softness of the greenery, I brought in Brass Minimalist Candle Holders and the cutest Santa Taper Candles from Terrain's Holiday Edit. They bring a lot of joy to the scene. I also added the Faux Juniper Berry Wreath for another layer. It is beautiful!!

Warmth

Incorporate meaningful or whimsical pieces to make the mantel truly yours. We love the Knitted Metallic Stockings from Terrain — simple, heirloom-quality pieces that hang beautifully. Add charms to your stockings, or display your favorite holiday photo in a brass or wood frame. I chose the Wool Moon + Star Charm and the Golden Constellation Hanging Charm and will continue to add layers as the season unfolds!
