THE BEST SUGAR COOKIES

Last weekend we made sugar cookies. My Dad came over and helped. I'm trying to think of fun things to do with Matilda that are special. Usually the weekends are the easiest, when Sam's home. If you're like me, you do things like google: "best sugar cookie recipe." These really didn't disappoint. They're soft and chewy and buttery. So.good. In fact we may make another batch for Santa. I think we will.

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Roll out dough on floured surface 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick. Cut into shapes with any cookie cutter. Place cookies 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
  • Bake 6 to 8 minutes in preheated oven. Cool completely.

we also used this icing recipe but I subbed the almond for vanilla. heaven!

It was so much fun that I ordered this for future cookie ventures.
    Happy baking!
