Leiper's Fork, Tennesee

Our new family tradition (this is our 3rd year!) of a post Christmas retreat commenced this year in Leiper’s Fork, TN. Last year we went to Cornersville and had our first White’s Room and Board experience and decided to try another one just right outside of Nashville! It’s a little under 4 hours from us and about 15 minutes from Franklin, TN. Fun fact: lots of celebrities live here so you may spot one when out and about. :)

The Country Boy - we LOVED their breakfast and burgers!

When we pulled around the bend into downtown Leiper’s Fork, it was like instantly hitting a Hallmark set… colored Christmas lights, historic homes, cutest market and shops and it was ALL the warm and fuzzies! There is live music at Puckett’s, antiques, s’more roasting over an open fire in front of the shops, galleries, and so much charm! We also loved the Leiper’s Fork Market (another great spot for breakfast and food items) and the Spa at Leiper’s Fork is divine!

The town of Leiper’s Fork is tiny and you can walk to everything. This was the cutest little jewelry shop behind 1892 (a charming and amazing fine dining restaurant!). We brought our own bubbles to 1892 and the girls (7 and 11) came too. The food was delicious and they were very accommodating with our dietary needs. I would not recommend for younger kids and it was a splurge but totally worth it for our last night!

Our adorable Sweeney Cottage that we stayed at. It had the cutest little kitchen with Smeg fridge (my dream!) and was perfect for our little family. We did not do a lot of cooking but made pizzas and coffee and snacks. The home was super charming and cozy and had games and Netflix and all the comforts of home. The girls shared the double bed upstairs and we stayed in the queen in the master. So many beautiful details throughout. Matilda loved the writer’s room and the bathroom was dreamy!

Couldn’t resist a little bit of Nashville so we went to my favorite restaurant that my friend Kristen took me to called Cafe Roze in East Nashville. Get the BLT and thank me later!!

White’s Mercantile

When in Franklin we loved White’s Mercantile (the shop brand of White’s Room and Board) as well as Biscuit Love for breakfast and Frothy Monkey (the locals call it “Frothys”) for good coffee.
