Staying On 30A

We have been coming here since the late eighties/early nineties and while it is fun to branch out, it so hard to beat the gulf coast and 30A! I typically scour VRBO or Airbnb to find places to stay and search for “30A.” This year we stayed in an unbelievable carriage house in Rosemary Beach that had an off season price tag and was perfect for our family of four and right on the beach (behind its main house of course! 😂).

Carriage houses are an amazing way to get the experience without the expense - we also were able to stay for just a few nights vs a week because it is winter (aka my favorite time to come!). Temps range in the winter from 30s - 60s at night to the 50s to 80s during the day so you never know what you will get. God was so sweet to send us some sun and very little rain - last year it was very foggy so you never know.

Other places to stay: we love Seacrest Beach for access to upscale Rosemary and Alys with family friendly pricing. Our friends from Raka Home Design have a gorgeous airbnb studio in Seacrest!! Most neighborhoods have heated pools in the winter too!

Last year we stayed in Nature Walk which is right next to beautiful Watercolor and Seaside but more budget friendly. Watercolor has huge, beautiful homes perfect for large groups and is nice and private but farther from the beach. We love the hippie vibe of Grayton and the OG Seaside community definitely draws the crowds but is dreamy in the off season. Which neighborhood is your favorite?
