I love this kitchen by Heidi Caillier Design. The sage paint, the brass pulls, the soapstone… all so good and timeless to me. It’s my main inspiration for sure. So good! This weekend I spent time painting the above sample colors around the kitchen.

We are starting to dream up our kitchen and the design plan for our main house at the farm. This is the house we will be living in as a family. I really want the kitchen to have a lived in, vintage, patina filled, english country vibe. Cotswolds come to life in rural Georgia. Ha! I teamed up with my friend Maggie to help with all of the design details and elements. She is a life saver and I’m so grateful to have her help and guidance.

We splurged on an unlacquered brass faucet and pot filler . I am SO excited to see these in person.

I had fun painting all over the kitchen haha to test all of the different lighting. I really love Dark Olive and Rosemary the most. I also tested out Pigeon by Farrow and Ball that I thought was really lovely - a nice grey with sage undertones. Feel free to weigh in in the comments! I am concerned green will read trendy so playing around with the colors. I’m going to also test Oil Cloth by Benjamin Moore.

For the adjoining dining space, Maggie suggested a banquet which I LOVE and I love this dreamy vertical shiplap and herringbone brick situation. I’m also considering matching the cabinet color to the trim and cabinetry in this space… maybe with wallpaper. Stay tuned!
